Swann's Way

Swann's Way - Marcel Proust, C.K. Scott Moncrieff I was shocked by how good this was. This first volume had a good pace to it and managed that (almost sublime) blend of plot development and poetic nostalgia. The parallels between Swann's life and the narrator's life were deftly handled and really added emotional punch to the final chapter.

I am looking forward to reading the second volume.
